I chose to become an Educational Consultant almost 20 years ago because Discovery Toys offters the most outstanding developmental products for families - products of the highest quality with extraordinary value. I left my lucrative sales position at ABC Radio to stay at home with my baby and thought I would "test drive" Discovery Toys for a year and probably return to my "real job." I would not have believed anyone if they told me I would still be "playing for a living" almost 20 years later and Discovery Toys has become my "real job." My business has been the best of both worlds as I have been home for my 3 children (19, 14 and 12) and have been able to work my career around the families activities and needs. I have taken the family on 12 all-expense paid incentive trips from Hawaii to Paris to the Carribbean and my children have learned so much being my own "toy testers." I have been able to be the room mother at school, go on field trips and also build a strong and flexible business.I truly believe that play is a child's work and children play to learn, to grow and to experience the world around them. Children love our toys because they are fun, and while they are playing, they are learning. My oldest child, Kelly, is a second year student at the University of VA and received 2 scholarhips for top Student/Athlete and Outstanding Female in Math and Physics. I truly believe her lifelong exposure to Discovery Toys helped her in school and having a true love of learning. My boys have been on the honor roll and love it when the new toys arrive twice a year so they can vote for their favorite new arrival.
