Eighteen Years & Growing!

In the summer of 1991, I joined Discovery Toys with the idea of enjoying the educational toys with my children and just "playing" with the business as a hobby.  As a former teacher and Reading Specialist I loved the educational value of the toys, and I wanted to share my parenting and teaching skills with others.  After my first fall season and attending a Leadership Conference in Chicago, I decided to make a commitment of sharing these toys with others and building a home-based business.

For the past 18 years it has been a passion of mine to share Discovery Toys - the products and the income opportunity with parents, educators, therapists, and grandparents.  I enjoy doing home parties, however, you can also find me at educational conferences, corporate offices, fairs, crafts shows, schools, hospitals, and holiday shopping events.  I try to reach out to as many people as I can - especially those who have children with special needs.

My favorite pasttime is creating newborn gift baskets filled with Discovery Toys.  If you, your school, church, or company would prefer to send a gift basket of safe, durable, educational toys instead of a potted plant or flowers to new parents or a child in the hospital, please contact me.  I have received such a warm and positive response to my colorful gift baskets filled with fun, educational toys!

As a former educator, staying at home to be my children's "first teacher" was the best decision that I made to help them to prepare for school and to be there when they needed me.  As they grew up I enjoyed all those proud "mom moments" of watching them in dance class, scouts, music programs, soccer games, cheerleading, cross country meets...and the list goes on....  My family has also enjoy the Discovery Toys Incentive Trips that I have earned through the years....to Canada, Mexico ( 5 times!), Paris, Vienna, Hawaii, Disney World - and a Disney Cruise....and staying at the Del Cornado in San Diego, California.  This year we plan to travel to the tropical island of Puerto Rico.
