I have been involved with Discovery Toys for 14 years, since my oldest daughter was an infant.  I was working full time as a nursing home social worker and the job was very stressful to say the least.  I was working with people in crisis and families in turmoil.  I saw a Discovery Toys catalog, and realized that while I was very good at my day job, I didn't know anything about children.  I knew that I could learn so much about how babies' minds work, how  to help them develop.  I decided to become a consultant.  It put a very interesting contrast in my life.  By day I was dealing with illness and death, and by evening I was doing toy parties.

My involvement with Discovery Toys made me very interested in the field of child development, so I started taking classes at the local junior college.  This led to a job as a preschool teacher.  I have left the geriatric field behind and my life now revolves around the other end of the lifecycle.

I have a second daughter who is now 10.  My life is very full with being a mom and helping other moms learn how to play with their children.  I love the flexibility of my business.  It's an opportunity open to anyone, and I'd love to show you how.
