How many people can honestly say they L♥VE what they do???I have been involved with Discovery Toys for 15 years, since my son was an infant. After studying engineering, I had a successful career on Wall Street, and started my own import company. When I realized that FUN and LAUGHTER were missing from my life, I knew I needed to shift gears. Starting a home-based business selling Discovery Toys enabled me to be home with the baby I'd waited all my life to have.
My own mother had stayed home with me, and as an only child, I felt fortunate to have a built-in playmate and someone who read my favorite stories to me over and over again. Like her, I wanted to be there to watch my son sit up for the first time, take his first step and be his first teacher. I was there to play games with him, do puzzles and make simple recipes, and I was confident that when he started school he'd be ready to meet the challenges.
Although I'm a stay-at-home mom, I am supported by a friendly group of people and our amazingly dedicated "Home Office" staff are always there to help. My husband enjoys the incentive trips for 2 that I earn. We’ve been to Paris, Vienna, Maui, the Bahamas, Cancun and RIO de JANEIRO, and are off to an all-inclusive resort in Puerto Rico in early 2010.
I feel lucky to have it all! It is my pleasure to have helped thousands of other parents, including parents of special needs children and their therapists, to find the perfect developmental toy.
