Teach…Play…Inspire with the “NEW” Discovery Toys.  It’s our 31st anniversary and we have a new vision for educating children through play and affording families a viable income source to be there for their children! 

Nine years ago, I began my Discovery Toys business as a fun way to get cool toys at discount and to get out one night per week, to have uninterrupted adult conversation with a home party.  I did not imagine leaving my full time teaching position to become a businesswoman, aka Traci the Toy Lady but, I am sure glad someone gave me the opportunity to give the business a test-drive!   My 2 most important students, my son Braeden (now 11) and my daughter Brieanne (now 9) are growing and learning with and from the best learning and play tools in the market!   They are confident, adaptable, caring, thoughtful, well behaved and independent thinkers and problem solvers because of the opportunities my business and the products have afforded me and my family!  Their yearly report cards and teacher comments reflect what importance our early decisions about playthings are to a child’s development in their formative years!  Most importantly, they have benefited from my being a full time stay at home Mom, ensuring that they have the right values, learning opportunities and skills taught to make them successful lifelong learners!   As parents, we are our childrens first and foremost teachers and my responsibility is to set them up for future academic success!  Discovery Toys is helping me do just that and am I ever thankful for the opportunity!
I chose to become an Educational Consultant because I wanted ALL of the toys but, paying for them all at once, was just not in the budget!  As a parent and a former teacher, it just made sense to give my children educational toys to learn and grow with.  Joining as a Friends and Family consultant meant I could order what I wanted, when I wanted and at HUGE discounts.   And, to top it all off I did not have to hit the toy stores with 2 kids in tow anymore!   Now, I work the business full time but on my time, to earn romantic getaways for my husband Scott and I and to continue to be there for my children!

For me, Discovery Toys provides a meaningful business that has enabled me to grow and develop both personally and professionally.  It’s a career now that allows me to build my work schedule around my family while earning an income that supports my lifestyle.  I began as a personal use consultant just to get the discount and now, I travel for FREE and I help families find the right toys, games and books for their children!  My kids and I celebrate that everyday is a Mommy play day and starting my own business, really was the best investment I ever made!  As my son Braeden says, "Why wouldn’t any Mommy want to join, just to get the toys for their kids."
